Although Royal Enfield hasn't announced the official launch yet, hence we do not have accurate power figures for BS6 bullet 350. The BS4 Bullet 350 churn out 19.8 bhp @ 5250 rpm from 346 cc, air-cooled, single cylinder engine which comes with 5 speed gear-box. Price hike in BS6 bullet 350 is due to fuel injection and BS6 emission standards, rest of the bike is unchanged.
About Royal Enfield Bullet History :
The Bullet is what Royal Enfield is
synonymous with. It is to Royal Enfield what Xerox is to copiers – any model
from the company in the Indian market is at risk of being called a Bullet by
the layperson. It has the distinction of being the longest unchanged production
run of any motorcycle in history. The name itself has been in continuous
production for well over seven decades.
The Bullet remained unchanged from its days
as a World War participant until the takeover by Eicher Motors in the middle of
the 1990s. This gave rise to the Electra, whose immediately apparent difference
was the presence of the gearshifter that was on the left. In addition, it
sported digital ignition and gas-charged shock absorbers. A new engine,
engineered by Austrian specialist AVL, was dropped into the Bullet chassis to
make the Machismo. This was the first time a Bullet was available with a
five-speed gearbox.
The Bullet, with its modernisations, is
what helped Royal Enfield grow from the mid-90s until the latter half of the
2000s. The UCE integrated engine was introduced, and twinspark and ‘lean burn’
technology made the bikes more fuel efficient.
Since the launch of the Classic series the
Bullet series has taken a back seat for the brand, but it is thanks to the
success of the Bullet that Royal Enfield had the scope to engineer and launch
the Classic series, which led to such exponential growth for the company.
