Vespa has launched the new generation model of its top selling two-wheeler in India, the SXL 149. The scooter has been introduced in standard variant which is priced at Rs 126650/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). This is a premium of around Rs 18,000 over its bs4 version.]

The Vespa SXL 149 is now BS6-compliant with the new fuel-injected. The new 149cc, single-cylinder engine churns out 10.2bhp and 10.6Nm, which is a drop of 1.2bhp and 0.9Nm from the BS4 version. Also, the power comes in at 7600rpm. you've got an unbeatable scooter. The Fi-technology also results in cleaner emissions and helps reduce the stress on our environment.



Vespa has also updated the SXL 149 in terms of features as below,
New Front Look :  The new Vespa SXL149  has a unique design with a V-shape grill to complement its sleek cast. .
New Seats :  Rider-friendly seats provide supreme comfort and space for a leisurely ride around town.
Alloy Wheels : 5-spoke alloy wheels enhance your riding comfort and provide more stability.
Digital Console : Premium speedometer, well-positioned warning lamps and Digital Fuel indicator, promise a smooth ride. Broader Tubeless Tyres : Broader tyres offer a smooth riding experience and more stability.
Stability : Link spring mechanism between engine and frame provide amazing balance by balancing of mechanical trail and the stabilizing torque which offers low speed balance, accurate steering and high-speed stability.

In terms of cycle parts, the scooter now rides on a 11-inch front wheel and a 10-inch rear wheel.It comes equipped with Aircraft derived Single Side Arm Front Suspension with Anti-Dive Characteristics and Rear suspension with Dual-Effect Hydraulic Shock Absorber. Braking is handled by 200 mm Ventilated Front Disc Brake and 140 mm Rear Drum Brake, assisted by Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).


The new Vesap SXL 149 has been introduced in six colour options including White, Matt Red Dragon, Matt Black, Orange, Azzurre Blue and Matt Yellow. Vespa is offering the Connectivity as a optional.


There is no real competition for the Vespa SXL 149, but if you are looking for a 150cc two wheeler, you could also check out the Suzuki Gixxer SF and the Yamaha FZ V3.
