How to take care of two wheeler during lockdown and post lockdown

 BASIC VEHICLE CARE WHILE YOU ARE AT HOME 

1. It is always advisable to put your vehicle on Centre Stand. 

2. It’s always better to put your vehicle under covered parking or else use recommended bike covers to protect it from dust & sunlight 

3. It is advisable to start your vehicle every alternate day to ensure the Good health of its Battery. 

Steps to ensure better Battery health, 

a. Please start the engine with use of choke (as applicable to model) & don’t use starter more than 5 sec. Wait until 15 sec for next cranking. 

b. Once the engine starts, do not rev & let the engine idle for about a minute. 

c. Now slowly raise the engine RPM to 2500 to 3000 (while verifying in vehicle tachometer). 

d. In vehicles without tachometer, partially open the throttle and don’t raise the engine speed very high.

e. After 3-4 minutes of operations mentioned in point (C) & (D), gradually drop the RPM to idle. 

f. Now shut the ignition OFF & lock your vehicle. 

EXPERT VEHICLE CARE AFTER LOCKDOWN 

1. Please make sure that the recommended tyre pressure is maintained.

2. Please verify if the Coolant level is above the Min Mark. 

3. It is advisable to check Brake oil level, it should be above the Min Mark by peeping through the inspection window.

4. Please ensure the drive chain doesn’t look dry & if it does, get it lubricated on priority. 

Finally, it is suggested that it may be advisable to get your vehicle checked by expert technicians at any of our authorized service centers post the lifting of the lockdown period.
